Information You Provide Directly

Account information: Phone number, full name, and password when you register.
Case details: Property address, lender name, loan balance, sale date, notice type, and state.
Uploaded documents: Foreclosure notices, mortgage statements, tax returns, pay stubs, and similar financial documents.
Appointment data: Date, time, type, and notes related to consultations.
Chat messages: Conversations with Silvia AI including any case-related details you share.
Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe; we store only a payment session reference and payment status.

Information Collected Automatically

Device identifiers: Push notification tokens for appointment reminders.
Usage logs: Error logs and API request logs to maintain service reliability. Logs do not contain personal case data.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
To analyze foreclosure documents using AI and provide personalized resolution pathway guidance.
To power Silvia AI chat responses that are context-aware of your active case.
To schedule and manage consultations with housing specialists.
To process payments for premium services via Stripe.
To send push notifications about upcoming appointments (only if you grant permission).
To improve the accuracy and quality of our AI models and service.
To comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

OpenAI: Document text and conversation content is processed by OpenAI's API to generate AI guidance.
Stripe: Payment processing. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Housing specialists: When you schedule an appointment, relevant case details are shared with the assigned specialist.
Legal authorities: If required by applicable law, court order, or governmental authority.
Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.

5. Data Security

All data in transit is protected with TLS 1.2+ encryption.
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt (cost factor 12) — we never store plaintext passwords.
Sessions are authenticated with short-lived JWT tokens.
Authentication endpoints are rate-limited to prevent brute-force attacks.
Your case data and documents are accessible only to your authenticated account.
Our database uses restricted-access PostgreSQL with SSL-enforced connections.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, all associated personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Payment transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years.

All Users

Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account).
Correction: Contact us to correct inaccurate information.
Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
